On a crisp Thursday night in LA, the energy at UNION Los Angeles hit different. The occasion? The official launch of American Football, a new streetwear brand with a bold mission: reclaim the word “football” for the culture that’s shaping the game in the U.S.
Hosted in partnership with UNION—who also serve as the brand’s exclusive retail partner—the event doubled as a statement. This wasn’t just a product drop; it was the beginning of a movement. The space filled with friends of the brand, tastemakers, and key figures from across sport, fashion, and creative industries. The vibe? Intentionally laid-back but undeniably important.

Guests included Angel City FC’s Sarah Gorden, stylists Ugo Mozie and Marquise Miller, and creators like Jay 305, Obiaura, Ebichi Nduka, and KO Asante—all of whom pulled up in support of American Football founder Kenny Mac and UNION’s Chris Gibbs, who co-hosted the celebration.
Food from Burgers99, drinks from OPEN Beer, and DJ sets by KITTYSAYWORD and RABBIT kept the energy locked in from start to finish. Between the music and movement in the space, the event felt like a real-time snapshot of the community American Football was created to serve: one where soccer lives at the intersection of identity, creativity, and style.
The launch collection features three graphic tees and three hoodies, each anchored in football-inspired design language that nods to the game’s aesthetic while remixing it through an American lens. No forced throwbacks, no nostalgia plays—just clean design rooted in authenticity and forward-thinking energy.

More than a brand, American Football is a response to the moment we’re in. With the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaching and the culture around the sport in the U.S. finally catching up to its global relevance, there’s a growing need for brands that speak the language of the streets and the sport at the same time. This is what American Football is here to do—build a platform where style and the game are part of the same story.
The installation at UNION was on view through Sunday, March 16, and the collection is now available in-store and online at unionlosangeles.com.
