adidas has released its newest Originals Football Collection, which includes nostalgic, lifestyle-ready versions of some of its prominent federations’ jerseys and training items from previous decades.
Classic football jerseys are more popular than ever, and adidas originals is taking advantage of the wave by releasing a new collection of national team jerseys and apparel inspired by the 70s, 80s and 90s era.
The jerseys in the collection, which include Federations like as Spain, Germany, Italy, Argentina, and Mexico, are replicated in appearance only, with a completely different fit, fabric, and trim compared to their authentic replica counterparts, emphasizing lifestyle aesthetic above sporting performance.
Mexico’s design was influenced by the legendary mid-80s look that preceded their country’s hosting of the 1986 FIFA World Cup.
In addition to jerseys and training gear, adidas is introducing the Adicolor capsule line, which includes 1970s-inspired tracksuits, t-shirts, and shorts in the colors of ten adidas partner federations from UEFA and CONMEBOL.
The European federations are available to purchase today at prodirectsport.com/soccer, and the Latin American federations will be launching on December 1st.
