From bad to worse. Coming off an Open Cup win over Charlotte Independence, Atlanta United were put to the sword by former Crystal Palace man Christian Benteke and D.C. United over the weekend. Ending in a 3-2 goal thriller, The Five Stripes now find themselves breaking records all for the wrong reasons after losing three consecutive home matches for the first time in the club’s history.
With two away matches now on the books, the club faces a do-or-die moment with head coach Gonzalo Pineda. With all of the drama down south unfolding, our photographer Matt Dingle was live, capturing it all.
