Angel City FC Release New Kits for the 2024 NWSL Season

The NWSL season is rapidly approaching and in the meantime, clubs have come out with new threads for 2024. Angel City FC is one of them, releasing a new collection of Nike-designed home & away kits today that “represents the grit and joy of Angel City’s players and community.”

Angel City will begin the season sporting their black home kit, appropriately titled Moonlight, on March 17th against newly formed Bay FC. The kit prominently showcases the angel wings from the team crest, done as a nod to the club’s mantra “Volemos” (let’s fly together). Additionally, the wing design represents the gritty spirit integral to the team’s success, a quality often cited by players and coaches was instrumental in reaching the playoffs last year.

Juxtaposing the Moonlight kit is Angel City’s pink away kit, titled “Sol.” The sunrise gradient displayed across the kit is a symbol that no matter what the outcome may be,  the sun in LA shines each day,  celebrating the relentless joy that is at the core of Angel City. The team is set to debut the away kit during their match against the Orlando Pride on March 22nd.

Commenting on the kits, ACFC President and co-founder Julie Uhrman had this say:

“While these two kits are intentionally very different, you can’t have one without the other. They are yin and yang, the moon and the sun, the dark and the light. You have seen the incredible hard work that our players put in day in and day out on the pitch at every single game. Yet they play with such infectious joy. It is how our team shows up on the field and how we show up in the community—with determination to make a difference and the optimism that we will achieve our goals.”
