Pitchside W Gold Cup: Mexico vs. Paraguay
Back-to-back boastful performances. Following the landmark 2-0 victory over the US, Mexico was looking to find familiar form against Paraguay in the quarter-finals. With two more goals from Lizbeth Ovalle and a penalty save from keeper Esthefanny Barreras, Mexico found itself on the end of a 3-2 victory. Mexico will now face Brazil in the semifinal, in what is shaping up to be a continuation of excellent form from the group stage onwards.
