The Washington Spirit have come out with two new kits that will chart a new identity for the club as it currently rebrands its image. Making a departure from the traditional D.C. sports based colors of red, white and blue, the team will wear yellow and black for the 2024 season.

Washington’s primary kit, Blackout, is aimed at bridging the communities within D.C., Maryland and Virginia. The jersey incorporates a tonal gray and black pattern inspired by the columns and architecture found throughout the DMV.

The biggest change will come from the team’s secondary kit, titled Spotlight. The new color is a vibrant yellow that will be ‘unmissable on the road,’ according to the team’s press release.
